ummm…my local sheikh who has a BEAUTIFUL voice and who is a hafiz since age 6 said they used to use violins to train the voices for reciting the quran..and that hadith although in the sahih bukhari has problems with its chain of narrators

  19. if you ask any qari …
if you ask any qari or high level muazzin (one who makes athan) you will find out they did not learn athan through musical instruments. Infact the most beautiful recitors in the world (of the quran or the athan) have never come close to an instrument when leanring it.

Yes today “pop singers” may use it to “perfect” their voices, but it is far far far far from necessary.

The prophet SAW said “there will come a people who make music halal” he then likened them to monkeys and pigs.

  20. Look at the face of …

    in Islam, music is …
in Islam, music is not ‘haraam’ as long as it does not lead to dirty things. it is all right to refer to the sound produced by musical instruments for good purpose of producing a good Azan. May Allah bless you.

  24. maybe you can try …
maybe you can try hearing the notes on a piano? wait i forgot it’s “haraam” supposedly right? so unless you find someone with perfect pitch to tell you the notes or tune 4 daffs to “e”,”f”,”a”, and d” oh wait but they would have had to get the reference in the first place from another instrument..which is “haraam”..oh too bad..so I guess you won’t be able to..but wait maybe if you just used some logic you could definitely tell musical instruments are OK and use one to improve ur azan recitation!

  25. sheikh i think on …
sheikh i think on the last “la ilaha illa allah” you could change the notes of your voice from “e, whatever the next part was, aaaaaad” to “efeaaad” it’ll sound better..
