Looking for Fun, Interactive Math Websites for Kids?
My third grader is having difficulties in math. He really is struggling with borrowing in subtraction and I am not the best person to explain the rules to him. He is now learning probability which I cannot help him with at all. Is anyone aware of any fun websites with games that will help him learn math effectively? I don’t even care if I have to pay for it, I just want him to understand what he is learning and enjoy math. Thank you!
well.. there’s two i know. i’m not sure if it’s that good. so you should check them out yourself.
http://www.mymaths.co.uk/ – this is not mainly on games. just an interactive way of teaching a person on maths. it has every syllabus you want as well as every topic. this is a very trustworthy site, since our school uses it with us during maths lessons as well. (that’s right, it even has secondary school standards) problem is, you need to sign in and everything. i’m not sure if you need to pay since it was our SCHOOL which gave us our pw and usernames.
there’s this other one which is mainly on games: http://coolmath4kids.com/
honestly, it was recommended by our PRIMARY school teachers so it should be quite reliable as well.
i fully recommend the first one (i’ve only been on the second one a long time ago) but please check both sites out because i do not know your childs background. good luck!
(and as an alternative suggestion, try giving him a NICE maths tutor? definitely a nice one since you don’t want him to be pushed so hard at such an early age right?)
good luck!
just try this site for learning probability
http://www.free-training-tutorial.com/probability-games.html
