Edward R. Murrow : The Math Movie ::: Zero :::

::::: DISCLAIMER :::::
(for those quick to criticize)
——————————–
Did this for my D Band AP Calculus class. It wasn’t completed, but I think i got the point across…kind of
its not number theory
its MYTH
it was only supposed to be entertaining to those who enjoy math
they arent my ideas at all, its stuff form some books and websites about “zero”
i only made a movie out of it !!

AGAIN
I cant take credit for the ideas used, but the movie was all my work, not the best, but thats all I could do in 36 hours. =)

The movie is all about ZERO
ENJOY

Thanx to Tehmina Brohi, for this great book (Mr. Lodico/ WInston CHurchill = carrot idea)

And lastly, this whole movie idea came out of what I read in “The Lore of Large Numbers” by Philip J. Davis
Mr. Kesten’s (sp?) Math MILE inspired me! =)

  1. Thats why we cant …
Thats why we cant divide by o. (a-b) = 0 if a=b so the inequation isnt right that is why the result isnt relyable and false.
    + 1/0 > X^n (with x -> plus infinity )
0*X^n = 0* infinity = ? u need to study the growth limits and usually no answer

  2. lol, nicely made …
lol, nicely made vid, wish i could divide my bank balance by zero, when it’s not in the red that is ;)

    Wouldn’t that make …
Wouldn’t that make infinity/0 the largest number, not 1/0??

    Because 1/0<infinity/0, (1/0)0<(infinity/0)0, 1<infinity

  6. Zero isn’t actually …
Zero isn’t actually a number? right? Number is quantity, 0 isn’t quantity.

  9. I met Mrs. P. …
I met Mrs. P. yesterday at a luncheon and she gave me the link to your movie. I used to be head of the department until 2000, and I regret that I didn’t stay long enough to meet you. What a wonderful production: smart, witty, visually interesting and full of energy! All my best wishes — you’re gonna have a brilliant future.

  10. in addition,

    in addition,
perhaps you didnt look thru the whole movie, because i explained later on that you can’t divide by 0
but it is possible to create a brand new system of mathematics (non-euclidean math) in order to show 1/0 in a “cleaner” manner, the way Riemann did. For any interested math students out there i suggest reading up on Complex Numebrs, Bernhard Rieman, and the Reiman Sphere

  11. its not a trick,

    its not a trick,
if it fooled you i sincerely apologize
but i only copied it form a book and turned it into movie
sorry if my movie offends you.
    thanx for watching!

  12. Hey, stupid u …
Hey, stupid u cannot divide (a-b) on both side b/c u set a-b=0 and u know better well that u cannot divide 0 on both side. that explains how u got 1=0 idiot, ur trick is pathetic it can only fool those who are stupid like you. u r definitely a disgrace for being such high level math student. or maybe Calculus in Murrow is a piece of u know what.
