how do interactive websites work?

i would love to know how the interactive websites work and what method or techniques they use.

There are a lot of different technologies being used depending on websites. Some use javascript with AJAX. Some uses Flash. Some use ActiveX and some use Java.

  1. They work with a mixture of java and flash. More of your top end websites also have back-end database programing to help with predetermined functions and movements. I you are interested in learning about web design I suggest checking out adobe, which is pretty much the standard for web design.
