I need some websites for kids that is like myspace for me. They need to be safe for 6-12

believe it or not, myspace is pretty safe as long as they put their real age in. Myspace doesnt allow you to befriend strangers or anything when your a minor, plus, if you are their "friend" you can peek in every so often and see what they are doing.

I think that some of the mirror sites are pretty cool such are froogle. and google mirror. I also like handy sites like dreamincode.net and gamespot.com. Anybody have any cool websites (that doesn’t include porn or vulgarity).

I think swagbucks is a very cool site not too many people use. You use Swagbucks’ search engine to search and earn you points. redeem these points for stuff like iphones, ipod touches, video games, and music. im trying to learn about the daily life of senegal africa and i can’t find any websites that actually answer the questions.

Looking for the interactive kind, where you can actually move the pieces to move through the puzzle. I’ve found some sites that have one puzzle per day, but I’d like to do more than one per day.

I often visit chess.com and chessgames.com for chess puzzles.

I want to learn to speak useful Japanese phrases so that I can be understood during my trip to Japan. What are some good websites that you recommend? Thanks.
I would prefer to go to websites which provide audio materials so that I can listen to the native pronounciation and learn.

You might want to check out Japanese pod 101.com ( http://www.japanesepod101.com ) and sign up for their free podcasts. They have lessons for "newbies" all the way up to advanced.

I also found this website ( http://kimallen.sheepdogdesign.net/Japanese/index.html ) to be a good overview of the language and how it works.

my son is in grade 2 and his school is having science fair next month….any good websites for science fair project ideas for grade 2 students?please help…thanks in advance.

When i was younger, i did my science fair on which tooth paste workes the best. However, instead of using a tooth, i used an egg shell because it has enamel just like teeth. So i got a cup of coke and put the egg shell in the coke. (put three egg shells in separate cups of coke) After 2 days, they will strain. Then in one cup of water, i mixed Colgate tooth paste with water and put the egg shell in it. Do the same thing twice but with different tooth paste. After 2 days, see which one is whiter. Make a Bristol board with info. Then display the eggshell and show which one works the best. But i don’t know if a grade 2 student will do this, because i did this in grade 6 and it was fairly easy.

That site does not exist. Google is downloading all free books and these might appear soon since they were written in the 1930’s. You can get them today at www.WORLDCAT.org and have them sent free to your local library..

Healthy lunches for my daughter entering preschool?

My daughter is two and a half and she is entering preschool in October. The parents have to provide luches and they need to be cold luches that don’t need reheating. I need some suggestions for healthy luches for her. Or websites offering suggestions. Please help.

Simple sandwiches sufficed when I was in school. Try tuna fish, peanut butter and jam, turkey and cheese. But you can cut them into fun shapes with cookie cutters! Too keep sandwiches from going soggy you can SLIGHTLY toast the bread. Add a thermos of milk or juice or a juice box. With thermos put about an inch and a half of whatever liquid you want in the bottom (milk, juice) and freeze it. Then fill it up with cold milk before you send her off. By the time lunch comes around the frozen liquid will have melted making her drink cold! Add baggies of slice apples or carrots and ranch with dips. I know you can buy hidden valley ranch in individual sized serving cups, as well as cups of caramel fruit dip. String and cubed cheese is always a winner with my kids. Make sure to pack a main dish, veggie, fruit and drink! Have your child help you if you’d like, so she feels more involved. Pay attention to what comes home everyday uneaten, or completely gone– then you’ll know her favorites, and not so favorites. Good luck!
