    Can you prove there …
Can you prove there is a hell?

Actually, words like Sheol from which comes from essentially mean grave.

So, if you mean, he will die in some grave (if he isn’t cremated), you’re right. Otherwise, you’re wrong.

I notice that you use insults like ‘going to hell” because you can cite no evidence nor can you use logic.

Teling someone who doesn’t believe in the bible that they are going to is like trying to get a eunuch laid.

    School is designed …
School is designed for one thing, control. Control over the students’ minds, thoughts, feelings, emotions and actions. That’s why so many students are dumbasses, because the government wants it that way.

  13. Actually, cola’s …
Actually, cola’s have several strikes against them. They are made from distilled water, which leeches trace minerals from the body. They are carbonized, which leeches trace minerals from the body. They are highly acidic AND have a high sugar content.
    Q. What is sugar turned into in the gut?
    A. Alcohol.

Google for links to many ‘new’ childhood issues linked to severe lack of trace minerals.

    Stomachs are full…with no nourishment.

Much like young minds today…full of ‘nothings’.

  14. I think these words …
I think these words to a song explain my school life to adult life clearly. “You don’t understand what they thought I was suppose to be….look at me now….a man who won’t let himself be…” -Alice In Chains “Down in a Hole”

  15. I don’t understand …
I don’t understand your question. What does race or religion have to do with it?

I said why trust your kids with someone contrary to your values. Many people of different races & religions share the same values.

  16. do you mean not the …
do you mean not the same race, or not the same religion, I don’t understand

  17. @norehct: You …
@norehct: You assume that homeschooling does not provide interactions with other adults. Most homeschoolers are involved w/ many other homeschoolers, and the kids have close relationships w/ many of the other parents. They also have interactions w/ adults in sports & music lessons & other venues.

It’s not a matter of trust, it’s a matter of who do you trust. Why trust a perfect stranger or a person who is completely contrary to all your values.

  18. Cola’s have a …
Cola’s have a NeuroToxin=Sodium its really HexaFluorsilic aCID see films at FluorideAction, take 250mg Magnesium before each meal Pur water, will break addiction to cola’s in two weeks, (Eugenics) see Operation Paper clip, Code name ArtiChoke, MkUltra, Zionist are working with Jesuits, see Jesuit OATH infiltrate Protestant faith put POPE in charge by any Means, stole money stystem see FIAT EMPIRE, Mike Ruppert, Tatum Chronicles, Cathy O’Brian, Col Bo Gritz, 3 Generations of Bush Family working w

  19. There is healthy …
There is healthy distrust, of media and all centers of power, but There is no trust that a kid can walk to school, or go home for lunch, or take a walk into the town and come back (different ages) You can hear it in Mr Gattos speach here, he doesn’t trust that a child can have deep tender affection for his parent once they have too many interactions with other adults. I am all for homeschooling because you do it out of love, but my experience is that we neglected trust

  20. Ok then here is a …
Ok then here is a mistake I made that I am not repeating, I am not saying that it is utopia in Europe, but there is something essential about trust we are missing in the US, and I think it is directly related to the ideas that Holt and Dewey had about education. We once applied these ideas about democracy and lost it. The homeschoolers openly express their distrust, the public school is being run as a prison, a guard stands over the kids in the schoolyard

    Public schools …
Public schools can’t be better than what you can offer, surely. I’m not super passionate w/ subject as some, but did you take in Gatto’s findings on the purpose of pub. educ.? There are aspects of pub schooling that I am saddened that my kids won’t experience, but the facts stand that the public educ. system is there to destroy us. It’s why even though I may observe negatives in some homeschoolers, I won’t repeat them because it’s ammo against us in the public arena..

  22. Ah ok, you assume I …
Ah ok, you assume I think all homeschooling should cease and I assume you want to stop all public education. I don’t think that at all, In my experience homeschooling is better than some schools and public schools can be even better than what I could offer, and I offered some reasons. I asked a question and wanted to hear what other ideas were out there. I still admire John Holt.

  23. OURPLAYLISTSSSS on April 14th, 2010 at 9:11 am

    No. What you’ve …
No. What you’ve said is the generic argument everyone has that’ll be the final nail in the homeschooling coffin.

  24. OURPLAYLISTSSSS on April 14th, 2010 at 9:11 am

    That’s fine. But I …
That’s fine. But I think it’s absurd to make broad assumptions.

I can’t find your original post because the format here stinks.. but weren’t you complaining about religious people that are kinda dumb teaching their kids?

I thought what Gatto said about attack on religion to be rather interesting, even though I’m personally not religious.

  25. also you are …
also you are defending homeschooling to the wrong person, I do not threaten your right to homeschool at all
